Heavy/ High Tech Industry

Metallurgical industries, including aluminium and steel production, involve complex processes.  Surveys and loss estimation studies require a detailed consideration of utility systems a review of individual process hazards created by complex and specialist control systems in rolling mills and high voltage supply networks  for arc furnace and electrolysis operations.  High tech industries frequently use hazardous chemicals and require exceptionally high levels of cleanliness.  They also use large quantities of high precision specialist electronic and process equipment.

Charles Taylor technical has significant survey experience related to Heavy Industries including  steel plants, aluminium smelters, cement plants and pulp & paper.  We are also increasingly being asked to survey major “high tech” industries such as silicon chip production, automotive industries and solar plants.
